European Kaleidoscope

A kaleidoscope is a mixture of many different views and colors, and that is what this European tour is…a mixture of different countries, vibrant cities, distinct cultures, historic towns, beautiful scenery, and more. You’ll start in Amsterdam with a canal cruise; travel through the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland; and end in Paris with sightseeing and time on your own. You’ll have a chance to see some of Europe’s must-see attractions, such as the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne, dating back to the 14th century; Marienplatz, the beautiful main square in Munich; Piazza Signoria in Florence, the center of the city’s political life since the 14th century; and Utrecht’s town center, founded by the Romans in 48 AD.

A highlight of this Europe tour is time spent in Germany’s Rhineland. Enjoy a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine River (or you can opt for a Rhine cruise). Drive along the Romantic Road, with its old-world charm, scenic countryside, and quaint villages and towns such as picturesque Rothenburg, with medieval towered gates and half-timbered houses.. Spend time in Lugano on the shores of Switzerland’s Lake Lugano and in Innsbruck, home of the famous Golden Roof, the balcony built for Emperor Maximilian in the early 15th century.

From the rolling hills in the Tuscan countryside to the majestic peaks and rustic chalets in Switzerland’s alpine region, you’ll witness stunning—and varied—scenery on this European tour. In most of the cities, you’ll have time on your own to explore and to try the local specialties. Don’t forget to sample a beer in Germany! There’s no better way to celebrate this wonderful, value-minded European vacation!
